Venice

Venice has never been painted as she should, never....That foul son of a deal board, Canaletti-to have lived in the middle of it all and left us nothing.

(John Ruskin)

He used to say Venice was an impossible to place to sit down and sketch,'there was something still better around the corner.

(Miss Edith Bronson on Whistler)

  1. Oh, these are all marvelous! These are some of my favorites of yours so far. Each post is more delicious than the last. Beautiful. The watery reflections, the pastries, the gondolas, vaporetto, gondoliers, etc...all perfect. I just love your work.
